First Aid in Kasiisi Project Schools

11202848_1133311223364555_5527770903573467919_nLast month,  thanks to demonstrations from our health team, almost 4000 primary school children  from 7 Kasiisi Project schools learned basic first aid – how to stop bleeding, relieve pain, and prevent shock and further injuries, . With help from two short-term volunteers, Deana Salameh and Suraiya Luecke, our health team, (Patrick Tusiime, Patience Nasasira and Peace Corps Volunteer Katelyn Wigmore) , showed the children how to give first aid for common injuries.
