Beth worked at North American zoos for 30 years, overseeing their commitment to supporting field conservation projects around the globe. She is the chair of the ZACC (Zoos & Aquariums: Committing to Conservation) biennial conference, is the founder of Finding Your Voice: Inspirational Stories from Women Who Protect Wildlife and Wild Places and the author of Voices from the Ape House, a memoir of her years working with captive gorillas. Beth has an undergraduate degree in anthropology from the Ohio State University.
